<h1><strong>Project Manager - Federal / NASA Programs</strong></h1><p><br></p><p>Target Contractors is hiring a Project Manager to take point on active and upcoming federal projects, including a major NASA job already underway. This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and demands someone who knows how to lead in a federal environment while keeping complex work on track.</p><p><br></p><p>If you can step into a federal project, manage a demanding client, keep change orders tight, and move work forward with confidence, this is for you.</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>The Work</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><p>You will start on a live NASA project in Alabama with an implosion deadline approaching. Three more federal jobs kick off in early 2025 in <strong>Georgia, Ohio, and Virginia</strong>.<br></p><p><br></p><p>This is a <strong>travel-first role</strong>. Expect to be on site about <strong>95% of the time</strong>. Downtime between jobs is limited.</p><p><br></p><p>You won't be asked to fill safety or QC roles. The focus is full project leadership and client management.</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>What You Will Lead</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><p><strong>Client Management (Critical)</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Work closely with NASA's site rep.</li><li>Keep communication steady, clear, and calm.</li><li>Ensure the client feels supported and heard every day.</li><li>Track new scope requests and shape them into workable plans.</li></ul><p><strong>Change Orders &amp; Scope Growth</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Manage change order development from request to approval.</li><li>Push timelines, costs, and documentation with accuracy.</li><li>Keep the schedule tight while capturing all added work.</li><li>Help the company secure the full value of sole-source work.</li></ul><p><strong>Field Leadership</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Support work onsite daily.</li><li>Coordinate with joint venture partners and subs.</li><li>Stay close to vendors for added scope (sidewalks, civil work, etc.).</li><li>Make sure all work is aligned with federal expectations.</li></ul><p><strong>Federal Project Oversight</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead planning, progress tracking, and issue resolution.</li><li>Manage communication between contractors, partners, and the government.</li><li>Keep documentation clean and compliant.</li><li>Uphold site rules, security, and work standards.</li></ul><h2><strong>Must Have</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><ul><li><strong>Federal construction or Demolition experience.</strong><br></li><li>Doesn't need to be demolition, but must be federal.</li><li><strong>Strong record handling change orders</strong> on government jobs.</li><li><strong>U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident</strong> (required for NASA badging).</li><li>Experience working in a <strong>joint venture</strong> environment is a plus.</li><li>Strong communication skills, especially with agency reps.</li><li>Able to travel across the Southeast for long periods.</li></ul><h2><strong>Who Thrives Here</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><p>Someone who can:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Take ownership fast.</li><li>Build rapport with a demanding federal client.</li><li>Spot scope changes early and convert them into structured work.</li><li>Keep a complex job moving while calming noise around them.</li><li>Step into a chaotic situation and stabilize it.</li></ul><h2><strong>Compensation</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><p><strong>$150,000 - $175,000+</strong> depending on experience.<br></p><p><br></p><p>The right person may justify higher.</p><p><br></p><h2><strong>About Target Contractors</strong></h2><h2><br></h2><p>Target Contractors is a federal and commercial contractor with deep experience in demolition, environmental work, and complex site operations.
